Terms and Conditions of Sale/Hire Contract

The Balloon Emporium Ltd

Please read our terms and conditions carefully before placing your order as they apply to all sales and/or services provided by "Balloon Emporium Ltd". Our terms and conditions set out your rights as a customer and your obligations to us. These terms and conditions also set out our responsibilities to you, the customer. Upon booking our services you agree to be fully bound by these terms and conditions.

Definitions

Quotes

All quotes remain valid for 4 weeks only. 

The Balloon Emporium Ltd maintain the right to adjust the prices in any quotation once the expiry period is exceeded.

All orders are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Booking our services

All bookings require a non-refundable "booking fee"of 50% to reserve our services for your preferred event date (unless the booking/order is less than 4 weeks prior to the event in which case the balance must be paid in full) This will then be deducted from the final balance.

The Hire Period

You the customer are responsible for all the items during the hire period. 

The hire period starts when the items are collected by the customer from our premises or delivered by Balloon Emporium Ltd to the customer at the venue stated on the booking form.

The hire period ends when any returnable items are returned by the customer to our premises or collected by Balloon Emporium Ltd from the venue stated on the booking form.

Final balance payment

The final balance payment is due no later than four weeks prior to your event date. We will not provide our services if we have not received payment in full.

Payment

ALL payments are by Bank Transfer. We do NOT accept cheques.

BACS

Our BACS payment details can be found on your quotation and/or final balance payment invoice.  All BACS payments require a unique customer reference so that we can identify your payment.  Please use Surname and date of your even (e.g. SMITH 5/07/2023). Please inform us as soon as your payment is made.

Cancellations

ALL cancellations must be made in writing.  The cancellation period is determined by the date The Balloon Emporium Ltd receive your written confirmation. The Balloon Emporium Ltd DO NOT accept cancellation by phone or text.

ALL cancellations will result in the forfeit of the "booking fee".

If the cancellation is made after the final balance payment has been received, then we will not offer a refund.

The Balloon Emporium reserve the right to invoice 75% of the total amount of your booking if cancellation is made within 6 weeks prior to the event date.

Hire Items

All hire items always remain the property of The Balloon Emporium Ltd. 


All hire items must be returned to our premises or must be available for collection after your event at the venue stated on the booking form. 

A refundable deposit of £50.00 must be paid for each hired item.  This is taken as insurance for the item and will be returned to the customer upon satisfactory inspection of the item upon its return to The Balloon Emporium Ltd. 

During the full hire period you are responsible for all hired items. 
Any losses incurred by The Balloon Emporium Ltd during the hire period will be invoiced to the customer within 4 weeks of the event date.  

Any hire items damaged during the hire period remain the property of The Balloon Emporium Ltd. 

The Balloon Emporium Ltd reserve the right to invoice the customer a "late return fee" for any hire items that are returned outside of the hire period. 

The Balloon Emporium Ltd is not responsible for any injury or damage to persons or property caused by items hired unless our goods are proven to be faulty.

Alterations or changes

Any alterations or changes to your booking must be made in writing. We DO NOT accept alterations or changes by phone or text.

It is your responsibility to check your booking form and any invoices carefully to ensure that the information is accurate. Our services will be supplied based on the information contained within these documents. Any corrections must be notified in writing.

Health and Safety

The health and safety for you and your guests is extremely important to The Balloon Emporium Ltd. In the event that a location or weather conditions make it unsafe for us to erect hire items such as arches, frames etc. then The Balloon Emporium Ltd reserve the right to refuse to do so until conditions have improved. This also applies to the safety of our staff.

Balloon Shine

Shine spray products prolong the shine of balloons. Shine spray products revives the shine in latex balloon creations and prevents balloons from becoming oxidised. The Balloon Emporium takes the following precautions when applying balloon shine spray. The Balloon Emporium Ltd Protect floors with sheets before applying product with care. This product makes floors/surfaces VERY slippery and can transfer onto the bottom of footwear.

Balloon Care

Each order comes with care guide & Health & Safety Instructions. Once your orders been Delivered/Collected The Balloon Emporium Ltd will not be responsible for accidental damage. All displays/Balloons are quality checked before delivery and Collections.

Unforeseeable Circumstances

Whilst every effort will be made by The Balloon Emporium Ltd to complete orders, the company cannot be held liable for variation or non-completion of orders due to the following:

Act of God | Fire | Flood | Storm | Gale | War | Pandemic | Terrorism | Strikes | Riots | Lockouts 

Or any other civil disturbances.

The Balloon Emporium cannot be held liable for any road closures and gridlock caused by any of the above which results in our vehicles and staff being unable to access to the venue.
